Land Restoration and Management

My goal is to provide landowners with the necessary information and tools they need to become good land stewards and conservationists. These services are briefly outlined below.

• preparation of ecological assessment report, with specific management guidelines for improving scenic beauty and habitat enrichment. This report includes GIS and topographical maps of soils and vegetation, habitat types, and other features.
• consultation and assistance in submitting a Wildlife Management Use Permit with the local county tax assessor
• restoration recommendations following construction
• plant and wildlife surveys
• Identification of plants on the property
• Building siting
• coordination of construction strategy with architect and builder to minimize impact on site during construction during building program
• landscape interventions that improve the hydrological function of the land, providing greater stream flow, seeps and springs
• rangeland or prairie restoration and management
• woodland enrichment and brush management
• garden or yard design for the transition areas between the built landscape and the rest of the property, including planting plan and horticultural guidelines.
